About Me

Elaine KoolBeing born into a farming environment in Zimbabwe, I was exposed to all kinds of creatures and plants that formed my earliest love of the African bush.

As a young adult, I moved to South Africa, and trained as a manufacturing jeweller. During my life here, I became interested, and involved in various aspects of conservation. Inspired, and concerned at the same time, I started a range of jewellery that reflected my passion of our vast and wonderful biodiversity, and so Kool Kulture was born.

The jewellery shown on my website are examples only. I like to give attention to individual taste, and my pieces are made in Sterling silver . The stones used in my pieces are precious, and semiprecious, and I use Pearls and crystals accordingly. I like to find stones that are different or odd shaped.

In the interests of preservation of the species, I do not use"natural" IVORY,SEA CORAL,OR AMBER. Great care is taken in the choice of material used in the making of my jewellery.
